Description

Harvested in April 2024, this exquisite tea is made from the youngest, most tender buds of the Camellia Sinensis plant. Silver Needle (Bai Hao Yin Zhen) is a prized white tea that is produced in Fujian Province, China. This is a region celebrated for its centuries-old tradition of crafting delicate, high-quality white teas.

After harvest, the silver-hued buds are naturally scented with fresh jasmine blossoms, a time-honoured process where the tea is layered with petals overnight, allowing the buds to absorb the floral aroma. This delicate scenting is repeated over several nights to create a tea that is subtly perfumed, smooth, and serene.

With its low caffeine content and high level of antioxidants, Jasmine Silver Needle is not only a calming cup but also a wellness-boosting one. The result is a beautifully light infusion with a gentle floral aroma, a soft, silky texture, and a lingering sweetness that brings peace with every sip. Perfect for moments of stillness or an elegant everyday ritual.

Health Benefits

All tea comes from the same plant, Camellia Sinensis, but the way it's processed creates the wide variety of teas we enjoy today.

Typically White tea is handpicked in early spring when the buds are still covered in fine white hairs (which gives the tea its name). After picking, the leaves are spread out and left to wither naturally, either in the sun or in a controlled indoor environment. This step allows moisture to evaporate slowly and enzymes to begin breaking down the leaf. Once the leaves are sufficiently withered, they are gently air-dried or lightly baked to stop further oxidation and lock in flavour. There's no rolling or shaping, unlike green or black teas. This minimal processing keeps white tea closer to its natural state, resulting in a light, smooth, and slightly sweet flavour with high levels of antioxidants and low caffeine content.

Jasmine Silver Needle combines the powerful properties of white tea with the calming qualities of jasmine flowers, creating a tea that’s as beneficial as it is beautiful.

Health benefits include:

  • Silver Needle is packed with antioxidants—especially catechins and polyphenols—that help protect the body from free radical damage, support healthy aging, and promote radiant skin.
  • The gentle scent of jasmine is well-known in aromatherapy for its soothing effects on the nervous system. Drinking jasmine-scented tea can help ease tension, reduce anxiety, and promote emotional well-being.
  • Regular consumption may help strengthen the immune system, lower inflammation, and support cardiovascular health thanks to its high antioxidant content.
  • White tea has been linked to gentle metabolic stimulation, helping the body burn fat more efficiently—making it a great choice for those seeking a healthy lifestyle.
  • With naturally low caffeine levels, this tea provides a subtle energy lift without the jitters, making it ideal for any time of day—even the evening.
