The Teahouse is a family-run, independent tea company dedicated to offering the finest quality loose leaf teas. Our passion for tea drives us to share this love with you. While we focus on Chinese teas, boasting a collection of rare and exclusive varieties, we also cater to traditional tastes, with an enticing range of teas and infusions from around the world.

Founded in 2005 by Ross Hutchison, The Teahouse emerged from Ross's decision to follow a different path, one that led to tea. His journey with Chinese teas began during his university days, influenced by his now-wife's Chinese heritage, which introduced him to teas rarely seen outside China at the time.

Today, The Teahouse stands as one of the UK's leading suppliers of premium loose leaf teas. By sourcing directly from tea gardens, we ensure consistent high quality and fair production practices. Our long-standing relationships with several tea gardens allow us to procure teas at the time of harvest. Many of our teas are certified organic, and others come from gardens that refrain from using pesticides.
