Phoenix Oolong or Mi Lan Xiang Dan Cong is the most delightful Oolong in our collection.

The leaves are long and slender, gently curled and a wonderful mix of colours from dark reds to deep browns.

The aroma promises something special and the lightest of infusions delivers an amazing cup full of the richness of honey and delicate sweetness of Orchids and Lychee.

If there is one tea you should try it is this one.... it will change the way you think about tea!

DRINK WHEN? Afternoon / Evening



1-2 heaped teaspoons (one big pinch) per cup and add water that is just off the boil, at around 90 degrees. Infuse for 2 minutes.

To really experience the tea, use just enough water for very small cup pour off the first infusion after around 30 seconds, the second leave for 45, the third for 1 minute and so on. You will then experience the journey through the sweetness of honey and into the floral orchid notes the tea begins to offer. Continue like this until you are not happy with the flavour.

just to congratulate you on your '2011 Phoenix Oolong'!

After your previous batch of Phoenix Oolong ran out, which I was purchasing regularly, I searched high and low to find another Phoenix Oolong that tasted as good.

They were all quite bland and lacking in those fruity/chocolately notes that yours had.

However, this new 2011 batch is lovely. It has a distinct lychee flavour to my taste buds, so I'm very pleased.

Hope you have some good stocks of this one as I'll definitely be purchasing some every month.
